This blog is about my journey of self-discovery.
You ever wondered why you are here? What is the point of life? Is there a purpose? What happens when you die?
What if I could tell you that you can actually find out? And I’m not talking about believing in something, I mean to really know.
As a very young child I used to spontaneously astral travel at night (as did my younger brother). It was something very natural and normal at the time, however as I got older it just stopped happening. I had no clue how I did it, but ever since I had a very keen interest to be able to do it again.
I read a lot of books about it, including Robert Monroe’s “Journeys Out of the Body”, and I tried a plethora of different techniques, but to no avail.
In October 2006 I stumbled across a flyer in a cafe advertising a free course in ”Dreams and Out of Body Experiences”. It was run by the Gnostic Movement, and up until that point I had never even heard of Gnosis. Regardless I eagerly attended (it was free after-all!) and 6 weeks into the course I finally had my first OBE!!
Since then I have had some profound astral experiences, including receiving direct spiritual teachings in the 5th dimension. And it has set me on an unexpected spiritual quest! I am now a student of Gnosis, which is a Greek word that means “knowledge” – however the kind of knowledge it refers to is not intellectual knowledge, rather it is knowledge of spiritual or esoteric matters gained though direct experience.
Therefore a ‘Gnostic’ is not to be confused with someone who is ‘Agnostic’. An ‘Agnostic’ is someone who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God, and to whom the ultimate reality of things is unknown. A ‘Gnostic’ on the other hand, is someone who possesses knowledge of the Divine through direct experience.
It is simply not enough for me to just believe in something (or to disbelieve for that matter, which is just another belief)… I need to know. Finally – I have been given the tools to actually know!
Now I’m not saying I have all the answers – yet. But I am on the way, and I have had some AMAZING experiences. I have been able to verify a tiny fragment of the Great Mysteries for myself, and the thing that amazes most is just how much I don’t know.
Here is where I am learning!

hi.. few mos. ago i had a chance to analize myself, how to heal my own wounds and how to cope w/ ups and downs of life. amazingly, though i was just a beginner i have this eagerness to learn , i never knew that what i used to do is kinda like what i heard of.. astral travel, dreams etc….. why can say so.. all my dreams use to come my ways in reality even names and places. it really amazes me and found myself happy w/ it..and now as i do independent research about it, i hope you can teach me some of your courses. GOD BLES!!!!
Hi Lyn,
Thanks for your comment to my blog. It’s great to hear that you have this eagerness to learn and to analyze yourself! Yes and it is really amazing the information you can get from dreams too.
The courses are completely free of charge and they are really beneficial, I have learned SO much and had some amazing experiences, this is why I am writing about my experiences so that other people can find these teachings and benefit from them as well.
From your comment there are 2 courses that I particularly recommend to you – one is the ‘Self-Discovery and Peace’ course, and this specializes in analyzing yourself, being in the present moment and understanding and observing your psyche – http://www.gnosticweb.com/more-about-self-discovery-course, and the other is the ‘Dreams and OBE’ course which teaches you more about your dreams, what they mean, how to interpret them and how to have conscious out of body experiences – http://www.gnosticweb.com/more-about-dreams-and-obes-course.
It doesn’t matter which one you do first, they both compliment each other, so chose the one you think appeals to you most. The courses go for 8 weeks, and they just started so this is great timing! Once you register, send an email to course@gnosticweb.com and let them know so they can make sure you don’t miss out on this round.
The courses consist of a weekly video/lecture, and a practice to do each week – the practice part is really important because it is about you having your own direct experience and not just believing or disbelieving the information.
You can also join in live lectures via Skype, and these are really good because you get to talk to the teachers and other students and ask questions and discuss your experiences.
You’ll really enjoy the courses, and as I said they are completely free of charge!! I wish you the very best of luck on your endeavors!! Also stay in touch, I’d love to know how you’re going with them
All the Strength,
Amy
Dear Amy,
Thanks for this blog and for your words.
I have taken the courses on Gnosticweb and as you said I started to experience the things that initially were part of the information given on the courses.
Only when I experienced in person I knew that this was the way for me.
One of the things that I have experienced is Astral Projection. That was a life changing experience where I proved to myself that we are more then our physical body. We have a part of us that exists in the higher dimensions. In the Astral Plane this part can be as conscious as we are here in daily life.
I also started to experience my subconscious and I saw inside myself the thoughts, emotions and drives that come from our dark side. There is no freedom and peace within all this.
I have then experienced my consciousness which is our spiritual part that allows us to have out of body experiences. This for me was another life changing experience because I felt love, peace and happiness and I knew that there is another way of existing. This for me is true freedom.
Of course I have a lot of work to do now to develop and nurture this part which is inside of me and only I can develop.
I highly recommend the courses and the websites you mentioned.
All the strength
Giovanna
Well your blog is really nice. Let me tell you truth. You read any number of books, do any types of yoga, meditations, a spiritual Guru is the only medium through you can reach to Moksha. In India we say that life without Spiritual Master is useless life. It is just like living your life like other animals like dog and cat.
Jai Gurudev.
Hi Vinod,
Thank you for your comment to my blog!
I didn’t know what “Moksha” meant so I ‘Googled’ it:
“Moksha is the liberation from samsara (wheel of Life) – Liberation is experienced in this very life as a dissolution of the sense of self as an egoistic personality by which the underlying, eternal, pure spirit is uncovered. This desireless state concludes the yogic path through which conditioned mentality-materiality or nama-roopa (lit. name-form) has been dissolved uncovering one’s eternal identity prior to the mind/spirit’s identification with material form. Liberation is achieved by (and accompanied with) the complete stilling of all passions — a state of being known as Nirvana.” (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moksha)
This is very much in line with what Gnosis teaches, only using slightly different terminology! Gnostics are also seeking “Moksha” or for us, “Enlightenment”. This is achieved through eliminating the undesirable subconscious elements or ‘egos’ (drives, desires and multitudes of ‘I’s) and thereby liberating the consciousness. With this liberation comes knowledge, and combined with alchemy one is able to re-unite with spiritual parts of our Being that reside in the higher dimensions, and eventually return to the Absolute (the Source) as an Awakened Being. We refer to this process as ‘walking the spiritual path’.
And I would have to agree with you that a spiritual guru (being someone who has walked the spiritual path themselves and has achieved “Moksha”, otherwise known as a ‘Master’) is also very important as they can guide us along our journey. But that is all they can do – guide us. Ultimately, it is our journey to walk that path, it is an internal work on ourselves that we do with the help of the Divine, no one can do the work for us.
For me, Master Belzebuub is my spiritual guru. I am very grateful for his teachings and guidance.
I am happy that you are on the path of awareness. For me it has been different, as I have always known all the answers, and I have gone through a different route, a more internal path.
Since I was born into this physical realm, I have always known everything, and why I was here, why the things that happened happened, and I also dreamt of the future(now-which has already happened) as a kid. I used to dream of the world as a whole, and what was going to happen. I guess that is why I have always been very in tune with the world, nature and everything and everyone, and have always liked everything as it is, and welcoming of change.
As a youngster never believed in anything the external world said, as it was just like a story book. Everything that people said, or books I just wouldn’t take any notice as I wasn’t interested. I knew I would capture in the information and I felt it would disrupt me as I am very energised person, and therefore I pick up on everything too easily. Though now my frequency is more at a balance than it ever was-and I don’t pick up the amount I did as a kid and teenager.
I also felt uneasy living in this physical realm as I knew this wasn’t who/what/whichever word what I was. Plus the structure of society didn’t help, as I found it to be the most weakest structure ever built, and I knew better structures existence, less without governance and more about the essence of people. So what I used to do was black out(faint) on purpose during school, as I really didn’t want to be in this world. I also wanted people to learn how to discover themselfs, rather than follow the crowd, and that also affected me, as I concentrated my energy around this.
I felt a great difficulty expressing my being-as I felt I didn’t know how in regards to sharing what I knew-and wanted to help others so much on their own path. The only physical tool which helped me the most, was Creative Arts and Sports. It was soothing and I learnt how to express myself more which also become enjoyable. This tool opened me up to the world.
From that came release, and in my early teens I just let go and become more of my true form. This was the peak where I became in touch again with nature, and the distraction faded as I understood myself in why it had happened. Being in touch with nature, I knew everything, and everyone, and also was very in tune with making things happen(like flashes of light) and also communicating with animals. I have always been able to communicate with them-not by words, but the real language of presence.
I remember as a kid, I communicated with the ants and made a pack with them, about helping them get their leafs to their refugee, as their path was destroyed. I was about 5 or 6. I have had numerous animals come up to me since then and we just communicated. I guess this ‘communicated’ word wouldn’t be a very wise description as the reality of the matter was within the presence of light, and though we were both there-communication on that level was not visible either through verbal or physical language. I feel you will understand this.
I always looked into myself and found all the answers-looking in was more like looking at the whole world-a greater connection to all people, earth and nature. I have been my own master and guru all in one. I have met many masters and monks on their own journey, and they have always been fascinated by me-as they knew I had a greater wisdom than anyone they’d ever met.
I feel for the last 10 years I have been engaging myself more in experiences, and uncovering my own personna to bring about a greater awareness of my mark within this world, and show why I am here-and so far I am doing so. I am less personnifed and more balance and soul, so to speak. I have learnt and still learning to express myself clearer for myself, and others. A joy wherever I am.
Pleased to be acquainted with you.
Love
Ana

Hi Gnostic Girl,
Spiritual Growth and Personal Growth are the most important place to focus ones energy. It is like Jesus said (paraphrased from memory)…
“Don’t store up your treasures on earth where dust and rust and moth corrupt. Where thieves can come and steal your wealth…Store up your treasures in heaven.”
Our personality is the store house of heaven. Whatever growth we make in this life remains with us forever more. Our subsequent lives take up where we left off from previous lives. Our ability to be conscious in the afterlife and consciously direct our movements and experiences in it depends upon how conscious we become in this life.
Thus Gnostic Girl, you are storing up great treasures in heaven. And your efforts will help millions of others to make progress towards mastery as well.
Namaste,
Michael Skowronski

Hi… I don’t know what to say haha. I have no idea what to expect there but I remember I accidently projected, only for like one second after I calmed myself down during a panic during sleep paralysis. This is all new to me… and i’m looking forward to practicing and honing my ability. Thanks for your page, it was extremely insightful. Maybe i’ll see you there.
Also, if you could email me your opinions on binaural beats and all this other stuff im finding on the net… im just really curious because this is the first “real” site i’ve come across on astral projection… it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks eh!
Ignacio
Hmmm, binaural beats – that’s music or sound that is meant to change your brainwaves or something like that I think, I don’t know much about them. My friend had a CD once and we tried it out but nothing happened. There were lots of things I tried before I took the course, but I never had any success until this course to be honest. It sets a really solid foundation, and something like 65% of people who complete the course have an experience during it. Since doing the course I personally have had quite a few OBEs, and some of them I talk about on this site. I think it is better to learn proper techniques you can do yourself rather than relying on something artificial like binaural beats, but that’s just my personal point of view. Have you checked out the Gnosticweb site? http://www.gnosticweb.com – there are some discussion forums there, and you can speak to lots of people who have had success at achieving OBEs though the courses and in general.
